38 weeks and 5 days

Well, the time is almost here. The girl can arrive anytime now. It’s so crazy that I have been pregnant for almost 9 months. It seems like just yesterday I found out that I was pregnant.

My belly at 38 weeks and 5 days. Joel found it funny that my belly was hanging out of my top. 🙂

I am still feeling ok. My belly is definitely heavier and larger. My hips and lower back are still bothering me, especially while I am sleeping. I have had a few heart burn episodes in the last few days as well. Not fun! 😦 Also, my feet have been swelling a bunch since it has been so hot outside. Other than that, things are good. I still am pretty active doing things around the house. I find walking versus sitting to be much better for my swelling feet.

As I mentioned, it has been super hot outside, so I was lucky enough to go to the pool a bunch of times. My friend Kristin took this photo of me by the pool. My belly is so big!! 🙂

Pool belly shot at 38 weeks and 3 days. 🙂

The cool water has helped a ton for my swelling feet. Plus it’s been just fun to hang out in the pool and spend some time with Kristin.

The girl is doing well. During my last checkup her heart beat was strong and I was measuring great. She is still moving a ton. Since she is even bigger now, my belly is definitely a source of entertainment. A lot of times there are mounds forming and disappearing as she moves. It’s so funny! The other day she was moving so much that it was actually painful.

Since my pregnancy is so close to the end, I have been reminiscing about it. I wrote a blog entry in my other blog about all the activities that I have done during my entire pregnancy to stay fit (ride.hike.eat.). It’s been fun! I think that I am really going to miss having her in my belly though. It was so much fun to go through all the stages of her growth and feel her. I am super excited to finally meet her though!!
